Meet Lisa
Lisa Rostek
MS, RDN, LD, IEDAS-C
I grew up on a farm in rural South Dakota, where food meant community, connection, and care - the foundation that shaped how I show up for people today. I started in nursing school, spent a decade as a massage therapist, and learned that my greatest strength is building genuine, grounded relationships. Becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Inclusive Eating Disorder Advanced Specialist Consultant (IEDAS-C) was the natural next step, allowing me to blend science, compassion, and lived experience to help people understand their eating patterns, appetite, and relationship with food in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
Before becoming a dietitian, I worked in hands‑on care roles - nursing assistant, massage therapy, and other direct‑care settings that showed me how stress, pain, trauma, and nervous‑system shifts show up in real bodies. That experience shapes how I practice now: with steadiness, attunement, and a deep respect for what people carry into the room.
My work is rooted in trauma‑informed, weight‑inclusive care and grounded in real‑life capacity. I support adults and older teens who want more clarity and consistency around eating. Whether they’re navigating college, living on their own for the first time, or rebuilding trust with their body. My role is to help you understand what’s actually going on with your appetite, energy, and patterns, and to build something sustainable from there.
My Approach
My approach is steady, collaborative, and grounded in how your body actually works - not how you think it “should” work.
I pay close attention to:
• appetite shifts
• stress and nervous‑system patterns
• predictable eating rhythms
• transitions (college, new jobs, living on your own)
• the real‑life barriers that make eating harder
Most people come to me because something about eating feels inconsistent, confusing, or disconnected - and they want clarity without pressure or perfectionism.
We move at a pace that feels safe.
We make decisions together.
And we build patterns that support your day‑to‑day life, not an idealized version of it.

Personal Touch
I live in Colorado, where home is a mix of dogs, fish, and a yard full of plants - basically a tiny ecosystem. Most days you’ll find me tending to my gardens, checking on what’s growing, or just hanging out in the yard with the dogs.
I love slow, grounding routines and noticing the small things: what’s blooming, what’s changing, what needs attention. I’m also a big fan of walkable neighborhoods, rooftop pools, and the kind of travel where you can explore at your own pace.
In session, I’m warm, steady, and curious - present without being performative, and grounded without being clinical. I aim to create a space where things feel understandable and workable, not pressured or overwhelming.
